Seattle snow/ice storm

We had a huge snow/ice storm this year. Living in Arkansas we have experienced snow and ice storms, but this was a BIG deal up in the North West. Several hundreds of thousands of people lost power and a lot of people didn't leave their homes for several days. We were some of the few who didn't lose power so we enjoyed the snow, the warmth, and the week out of school. Our main casualty was the loss of branches off several of our trees.

Geared up with coats, rain boots, and swimming tubes--we were off to tube down the local hills.
The kids and I made this snow man before the big snow hit. I was pretty proud of it--until I was reminded of the snowman Spencer made with the kids last year. (Refer to post from February 2011)

Most of our friends were without power so we decided to turn the crazy week into a staycation and invite some families over. We had 6 adults and 10 children in the house for a few days --and it was a blast. Thank you to the Butlers and Maners for making the snow days so much fun and helping out so much around the house.

The men didn't get the memo that we were on holiday. We renamed the office the Amazon South Campus. These 3 committed Amazon workers spent the day working.
