Storm #1: Last week we had an ice storm with a few inches of snow on top of the ice. In Northwest Arkansas a half an inch of snow will shut down the whole town for a day so you can imagine what ice and snow does. We spent the entire week with no school or lessons and a lot of creative projects and running around at home. The snow doesn't stop Annie though. The first day it snowed she was up at 8:30 in the morning with all her snow gear on asking if she could go outside and play. It was still raining ice and about -5 in this picture so she only lasted about 30 seconds.

My kids LOVE playing in the snow. Rachel lasts about 5 minutes, Jackson about an hour, and Annie stays out as long as I let her. Thanks Spencer for taking them out to play and sled! We leave our snow clothes in Utah since we are usually out there in the winter and we don't get a lot of snow here. We have been pretty creative the last few weeks to keep dry and warm. Spencer has used a lot of Wal-Mart shopping bags to keep his feet dry.

I am not sure where she learned this, but when I came out to take pictures Annie chased me around trying to throw snowballs at me. Silly girl.

The tallest snow man ever!!!

Storm #2: Just a week later we woke up to this!!! 2 feet of snow! This wouldn't be a big deal in a lot of places, but Rogers Arkansas doesn't have snow plows. So another week of being home bound for us--dad at home working, movies, craft projects, and a lot of snow balls.

Good thing you guys even had a snow shovel. We didn't when we had snow over and just after Christmas.
