Good Times with More Family

My parent's came out this last week and it was so much fun having them around to enjoy the fall weather, conference, and just being with family. We had to start things off right, so we took them to Bentonville's small town First Friday.  It is basically a small fair they put on every month. Spencer wanted to especially welcome them by entering the yodeling contest--too bad there was a pro in the running-he may have had a chance.
Grandma took them to Build a Bear and Annie and Jackson really go into it. We are working on being a bit more creative with names--Annie calls everything "Annie," and Jackson calls most of his stuffed animals "Jackson," or "Thomas" (which is his middle name). Thanks grandma-we have been toting them around ever since.
Rogers Fall Festival: The city of Roger's also had a small festival while we were there.  They had scarecrows to make, hay rides that were a lawsuit waiting to happen and the farmers market.

We walked and the kids biked around Fayetteville Lake. My parent's couldn't believe the kids could bike that far, but they can. We stopped at the top and had snacks and played on the playground.

More Scarecrow stuffing:

My dad got a new toy--well that is what he played with most of the trip. It is that red thing in his hands.  I will let you technical people figure it out.

All of us with our scarecrow, Gus Gus.

Mom and Dad, welcome to small town USA. Thank you so much for coming out and for all your help! We loved having you and can't wait to see you again.
