North Carolina

It has been an exciting week for Jackson and me in North Carolina. Both Alisa and I were able to take advantage of our sister Kellie's hospitality and crash at her house for a week. Thank you Daniels family!! However none of it could have happened without Spencer and our friend Mandy who took care of Annie for the week!

There is no way to sum up our week of late night laughing or description of all the yummy food we ate, but here is a few our my favorites!

There was one advantage to me spending a few of the days sick at home: Kellie and Alisa went to Sephora to get makeovers. This is usually a very pleasant experience. However, their makeup artist was very festive and turned them more into orange jack-o-lanterns then beauty queens. This is 9th street in Durham (Kellie's favorite). There is always great shopping on a good vacation. There is no other way to say it. Jackson was just plain spoiled this trip. Jackson loves to cuddle and Alisa was more than willing.

He got to eat whatever he wanted. . .
. . .and he discovered cars. I know from this picture you can't tell, but he was really enjoying himself. Thank you Grant for your donation to Jackson's car collection. More cuddles from Aunt Alisa.



Of course it isn't a trip to visit Kellie without a trip to Loco Pops.
My pick was creamy lime.
One of our first visits was to a fun museum. They had a whole room devoted to blocks. This is Grant's building.

This is Alisa's. Yes, we are really proud of her building skills. Jack's favorite thing at the museum was the ball roll. Thanks to Abbie who saved the day. After a big 12 year old boy took the balls from Jackson she took it upon herself to go explain to him that her cousin was using those and he shouldn't take them from a baby. Go Abbie!!
P.S. For those of you who read Kellie's blog. I did not eat all of those Fries.
